Seven Year Stories

This series is inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s theory that humans experience major emotional, physical and mental changes that cycle at approximately seven year intervals over our lifetimes. Seven Year Stories narrates seven 7-year intervals of Shary’s life to date.

This series was part of a collaborative show, Seven Degrees of Connection, by the seven instructors of Patricia Baldwin Seggebruch’s 2015 Encausticamp: Michelle Belto, Amanda Jolley, Erin Keane, Crystal Neubauer, Patricia Baldwin Seggebruch, Sue Stover and Shary Bartlett. The artists followed artistic guidelines around the theme fo the number seven: using 7 x 21 “ substrates, seven colours with 70% of each work composed of only one colour.
